The collection consists of audio recordings of a two-day seminar celebrating the 75th birthday of oceanographer Roger Randall Dougan Revelle. Speakers include: Keith A. Brueckner, Harrison S. Brown, Jean Mayer, Robert Stevenson, John Tuzo Wilson, Robert M. Garrels, Willim Aaron Nierenberg, Glen T. Seaborg, Rollin Eckis, and Emilio Q. Daddario. The addresses discuss Revelle's contributions to geophysics, oceanography, climatology, population, environmental studies and science policy, and his role as founder of the University of California, San Diego.
